ABOUT THIS ARTWORK

This artwork blossomed directly from a page in my sketchbook, serving as both canvas and catalyst for creativity. Initially intended merely as a surface to offload excess ink from my roller during a gel plate printing session, this particular page transformed unexpectedly.

Amidst what seemed like a lackluster monoprinting session, I was startled to discover the latent potential within this seemingly ordinary page. The unintentional fusion of colours and marks, spontaneously transferred onto the page, laid the foundation for a journey of artistic exploration.

Driven by instinct, I felt compelled to further embellish the surface with additional marks. This piece stands as a testament to the serendipitous nature of art, proving that inspiration can emerge from the most unconventional and unintended sources.
